Melis collection. Ewer ca 1530 inspired from Ottoman ceramic art at İznik. İznik pottery, or İznik ware, named after the town of İznik where ceramics were produced from the last quarter of the 15th century until the end of the 17th century. Cobalt blue was used by Alona Çini for the basic ground colour on the high quality silk.
